IXOYE

Some church that might hook you this evening: the word “ixoye” is an acronym comprised of the first letter of five Greek words: Iesous Xristos Theou Yios Sotare which means Jesus, Christ, Son of, God, Savior.

The word is also Greek for “fish,” icthus, ἰχθύς which when spelled in capital letters in Greek is ΙΧΘΥΣ. In Mark 1:17, JC says he'll make his followers fishers of men.

Well, we don't have Greek letters in the shop, but we do have these big slab serifs. And since half of Old Try is Greek, we made a mashup of a great idea, great type, faith and our family heritage. It ain't for everybody, but fortunately Jesus is.
