You don’t have to tell a Texan what’s great about Texas.

But one thing I think is just great is the story of their first flag. Lorenzo de Zavala proposed this flag in 1836 at Washington-on-the-Brazos – the convention that drafted the Texas Declaration of Independence from Mexico. But then some delegates wanted to muddy it up with a rainbow and some more stars and whatever else. It never came to be. But Mamie Cox, a hundred years later, found the papers, drew up a design, and called it a day. And I think it looks just fine without the rainbow.

What goes into an Old Try letterpress print?

Love. History. Cut hands. And a little bit of cussing.

Beautiful design & high quality

Received this as a gift, and I'm thrilled with it. I'm proud to be able to hang something that represents my state well, and the design looks simply fantastic. High quality, to the point that I purchased another Old Try print when I saw how good it looked. Would recommend.

Five stars and nothing less

This was our second purchase from The Old Try. Their prints make for such a warm welcome in our Atlanta home. Each product is made in the US and made with intention. The company (Micah) is super thorough in communicating order & shipping information (and awesome follow-up emails). Love this'un and all the rest! Thanks again!
