The Fall of ’99, I stepped onto campus. An Ole Miss Rebel, an out-of-stater, a mutt. It was on the Square, the night before our first game up in Memphis, when a raucous crowd erupted after a bourbon fueled “Are You Ready?” rang out across Faulkner's Jefferson.

I didn’t know what it meant or who wrote it, but it rings in my ears to this day. A buzz that happily won’t go away.
