The Citadel is intriguing. I’ve been on campus and I’ve seen the cadets and I wonder about their experience. Going to one of the nation’s finest schools, driven by a desire to serve and an ancient duty to country. They’ve got great rings and handsome uniforms and a Regimental Band and Pipes and a beautiful checkerboard courtyard and Pat Conroy. The cadets are smart as hell and I’m glad they are leading the way forward from South Carolina.
