I’ve been running away.

Trying to forget who I am. Where I’m from. I’ve viewed a Southern accent as a liability and I’ve taken up home and shop in the North. Mainly cause I thought that was what would make me feel more whole. More worldly, more cultured. Far from home, I thought, is whereI’ll come into my own. But as the winters have multiplied up here, I’ve found that this isn’t my home. There are fine people, to be sure, but there aren’t the manners and the reverence and the taking-time-to-have-a-chat. The things I tried so intently to escape, I now find are not only what define me, but also what give me a moral compass of how to navigate this beautiful earth.

I might stray, but I know on a map just what direction points me homeward.

There's No Place Like Home

As a life long southerner that somehow spent the past 10 years in New England, I pride myself on remembering who I am, how I was raised, and where I come from even when I'm far away. This print is the perfect visualization of that, and after waiting entirely too long, I finally purchased and framed up for my wall. Please keep doing what you do, Micah and Family.

A Reminder of Myself + Home

I grew up in Alabama, and I have lived in New York City for the last 8 years. This print hangs in my one-bedroom apartment in Brooklyn. The colors are beautiful. The letterpress is such a nice touch. It looks even better in real-life than in pictures, if that is even possible!

My touchstone

I bought this fantastic print and plan to use it as the main emphasis in my kitchen. Being a southerner is really the core of who I am and this print really brings that home. The colors are beautiful and the letterpress really makes it even more special.

It's great to be home!

I lived in Virginia (which is only partially southern!) and I longed to be back in the Heart of Dixie. This compass was how I felt the South was pointing me and pulling me home. It hangs in our Alabama home now!
