Three of these came from Roy. But he didn’t just win games. He inspired. He walked the walk. Just this last year, Roy & Wanda gave $3 million to UNC for scholarships. And they tried to do it under the radar, without an announcement, because that’s the kind of person Roy is. He showed up to UNC and his mom gave him $100 and said good luck. He wanted to make sure there was a path for students like him. And there will be for a long time thanks to his generosity. So Coach, thanks for everything, and enjoy the hell out of your retirement. You have definitely earned it.
