In 1792, The state of North Carolina moved their capital from New Bern to Raleigh. I’m sure it was because of safety from ocean invasion, but I’d like to think it was in part because of the flora. That when they made it inland, they looked around at the beautiful oaks and said “This’ll do just fine.”
So here’s a print for my wife’s hometown and one of the finest cities in the South.
