Marathon Monday – that’s our first real day of Spring in Boston.
Not because it’s warm (we’ve seen our breath and our sweat over the years), but because we all come out of hibernation. It’s Patriots Day - the first day of the American Revolution. And then, a million folks strong, showing up to cheer on those thirty thousand souls from the world over. Those who come to leave it all on that 26.2 mile stretch of road between Hopkinton and the Library.
That mass of humanity, that collective and solitary pilgrimage, that’s what tells us that spring has arrived in our neck of the woods.
