The Commodore wouldn’t be beaten.

He watched his father toil away as a seaman. Decided that instead of being embarrassed about it, he’d use it to his strength. He quit school at 11, learned what he could from his old man, and took to the seas. Then to the rivers. Then to the rails. Then to the history books.

And whatever the case, he had a fascination with the South. He left us one damn fine school up in Nashville. His earnings left us with one of America’s great houses in North Carolina. And he also left us with that hope that if we bust ass, anchor down and stick to our guns the world won’t forget us easily.

What goes into an Old Try letterpress print?

Love. History. Cut hands. And a little bit of cussing.

Beautiful design & high quality

Received this as a gift, and I'm thrilled with it. I'm proud to be able to hang something that represents my state well, and the design looks simply fantastic. High quality, to the point that I purchased another Old Try print when I saw how good it looked. Would recommend.

Five stars and nothing less

This was our second purchase from The Old Try. Their prints make for such a warm welcome in our Atlanta home. Each product is made in the US and made with intention. The company (Micah) is super thorough in communicating order & shipping information (and awesome follow-up emails). Love this'un and all the rest! Thanks again!
