What we're looking at now.

Marianna has started singing Taps to the kids right before bed. It signals the end of the day and was called Extinguish Lights until 1891, when it became the standard melody at military funerals. The 24 note bugle call was followed by three drum beats, dubbed the “Drum Taps,” as well as “The Taps” and then simply “Taps.” It is both heartbreaking and hopeful. And end to this day, an invitation to the next. To those who have heard it ring out for fallen family members, our thanks and prayers go out. We're thinking of y'all today. Thanks and praise, for our days, 'Neath the sun, 'neath the stars, neath the sky; As we go, this we know, God is nigh. #memorialday
