Old Try

Move it along.

“Make your mistakes, take your chances, look silly, but keep on going. Don’t freeze up.”

Thomas Wolfe, You Can't Go Home Again

We’re moving back to Boston.

And for that, perhaps, I owe y’all a little bit of an explanation.

I got scared about becoming a parent. I panicked. I strong-armed my wife into giving me the yes to head South. To get out of sharing apartments with folks walking above our heads....

Going to bat -or- On the ball.

Just in time for Opening Day, I was able to finally get my hands on a bat from Mitchell Bat Co. The Beantown. Honestly, I need it for a little bit of therapy. Opening Day in Boston is crisp and inspiring and remarkable on a bunch of levels (Jet flyovers! Day drinking!) and for the first time in seven years we're not there for it. Tales of Olde

We've got some good friends in Boston. They've got a band named Tales of Olde. And they are worth the listen.

We know Lucas and the gang through church. And we just consider ourselves so fortunate to've praised the King of Universe with dudes this dang talented.

They are working on an EP now I think. Though, I have been known to give out faulty information a time or two, so the truth might be they...

Winter Storm!

Just saw on the weather website that we might be in for a storm on Monday night into Tuesday. Absolutely fine by me. We love snow. Tons of it. Frequently. Two years ago when we had 80" we were in hog heaven. And it has been a couple of years since we've been here for a good one.

So, in order to jinx us fully, I'm going to make a post of Boston scenes in winter. I was tipped off  by a post from A...
