I've written about meeting the folks at High Cotton last year at a football game in Oxford.
Well, since then, we've been in touch and have tried a couple of different things. And now, for all of you guys, we got something that we're stoked about.
We designed a shirt for them.
Now, the shirt design is only half the story. We went digging through some old bits of print history and found some old lithographs and letters that we were able to recondition and update and use for today. Nothing wrong with the old stuff if it still works.
But, the other part of this story, the amazing part, is the shirt itself. The whole thing, from seed to finished garment, is made entirely in North Carolina. I'm amazed by that. You can go here to see where each bit of the shirt is made.
I'm just so blown away that we were able to team up with them, and make some stuff. Stuff that is made on our family's native soil and something that speaks to a long tradition of agriculture and textile manufacturing in North Carolina.
Humbled, we're now a part of that tradition. A small part, but it takes all kinds.
You should head over and check it out. A $38 dollar long sleeve tee, from the soil of The Old North State.
