We're blessed to have really talented friends.
A few posts back, I'd gushed about the fellows at Land Vs Ocean. And, back on October 4th, we were in Jackson hanging out with them and having one heck of a night with Art In The Age, Jesse from Colour Revolt, Kishi Bashi and about 150 of Jackson's finest folks.
A friend of a lot of the folks there, a fellow named Simon, had tragically passed the night before. But Simon would've wanted it and the night went on and while there was a tinge of sadness in the air there was also a lot of love and a lot of state pride and a lot of folks hugging each others necks.
For this life is short and we should do our best to make it beautiful while it lasts here. Cause I think that's one of the reasons the good Lord put us here: to make this earth a more wonderful, tolerant, and loving place. We might just be passing through, but that doesn't mean that we can just coast.
Here's to safe travels down South, and to Simon, who was called on home.
