In 1847, Terminus became Atlanta. In 1864, Atlanta became ashes. After Sherman’s march, a bunch of Atlantans became madder than heck, and they made a seal of the city to mark those years. Since then, Atlanta has made up for most all it lost and more. When you crest the last hill headed in from the west, you’ll see the skyscrapers reaching, like a phoenix, northward into the Southern sky.
